In 2013, he established the non-profit Shri Naresh Raut Foundation, which is supporting thousands of marginalized to improve their life of standard even now. Along with Shri Prof. Laxman Gorde, he established the Shri Naresh Raut Foundation and started various social activities in Kelwad and Jalgaon in Rahata taluka. Hon. Shri Laxman Gorde is a person who pursues novel applications that have the potential to solve community-based problems. The foundation is actively improving the lifestyle of individuals, and communities and the development of societies through various sectors like education, Health, Children and Family Welfare, Social Awareness and Skill Development. The Foundation has taken initiatives to promote rural dreams, and aspirations and to provide opportunities around the world to prove itself in new areas of knowledge.
Education
Government schools in rural areas lag behind in infrastructure due to a lack of digital resources, low teacher-student ratio, low attendance and parents who do not value the education of their children. Some families are keen to help their children to get a quality education but money without education is a Broken Dream. The system becomes, now it is challenging to replace with a digital platform due to Covid-19.
SNR Foundation has keenly developed the computer infrastructure in schools and colleges. At the centres, more than 600 children were certified in the computer knowledge of MS-CIT. The Foundation also offers free coaching classes, talent search programmes and skill development for poor students. Since private classes are far from this village, the foundation runs free English, Maths and Science classes for 10th standard students. The organization is helpful in the infrastructural development of schools and colleges in the villages of Kelwad, Jalgaon, Chitli and Wakdi. The organization had set up borewells and electric motor pumps and equipment in primary schools at Kelwad and Jalgaon. Every year the organization and all the staff celebrate Independence Day and Republic Day with all the schools and so far, more than 20,000 meals have been distributed among the children.
Foundation has also distributing sports and laboratory equipment, library, computer equipment, water storage tank, and Water purifiers in the schools and colleges. Occasionally, the Foundation organizes various competitions and distributes prizes and guides the children with the aim of appreciating their academic talents of the students. The Foundation is providing financial assistance to the needy, bicycle donations, and fees for medical and computer engineering education for needy and aspiring students. We have also started a free library at Rahata, Kelwad, and Jalgaon as per the motto “Read if you want to Survive”.
Health
SNR Foundation has started primary treatment centres in Kelwad, Kakadi, Adgaon, Varkhadwadi (Akole) and Jatwada (Aurngabad) villages on the theme “Treatment in Travel Cost”. These centres provide preventive health and symptomatic treatments for the target children and old age people. Before initiating the clinic, we have organised free health check-up camps to study various health issues in these villages and every year we consistently organise camps to monitor the health graph of village.
To date, more than 20,000 needy people have been treated at the clinic. We have also organised free Eye camps to treat cataracts by a specialist ophthalmologist and many of them got benefitted by operating it. From time to time financial support and proper guidance are being provided by the organization to the neediest citizens for the treatment of further serious illnesses.
In 2020 Corona epidemic crisis was rapidly increasing in the rural areas, the doctors and staff of the organization provided proper guidance and assistance to the villagers from time to time. The organization distributed free groceries and medical supplies to poor, disabled, deprived and mentally retarded women and men so that they would not go hungry when there was no employment. Adolescent girls were given sanitary napkins with reasonable contribution and doors to raise awareness about personal hygiene.
Watershed Development and Environment
The Shri Naresh Raut Foundation strives to make rural areas drought-free and prosperous. Due to the negligence in water planning and the massive degradation of nature, we have to face this man-made crisis today. In order to overcome the water scarcity in the village of Jalgaon and Kelwad, drinking water tankers were started by the organization and provided more than 1600 water tankers for survival of the village lives. To eradicate this water scarcity in village Jalgaon, the foundation removed the sludge of the earthen pond and connected it with a 2.5km water canal to the Godavari river canal. Therefore, the pond was able to fill with canal water and the drinking water problem of Jalgaon was solved.
Women Empowerment
Women empowerment means empowering women by giving them all the rights that men should have in the family, society, school, college and country. Enabling those means they can make their own independent decisions for their personal development. Due to gender inequality, the status of women in Indian society is still backward. Efforts are made by our foundation to empower women by organizing various types of trainings and awareness sessions for them like Women’s Self Help, Women’s Opportunities and Family counselling. In this computer age, as the tools of modern technology are evolving, women should take the lead in various fields; for this, the institute provides computer training centres, sewing and beauty parlor training for women at Kelwad, Jalgaon, Jatwada (Aurangabad). To date, more than 400 women have benefitted from our beauty parlor and sewing class training. The organization has so far provided financial assistance for the marriage of many poor and destitute girls.
Tribal Development
The welfare of the Scheduled Tribes has been one of the major concerns since independence for achieving the Constitutional objectives of equality, justice and liberty for all. The foundation has stepped ahead into tribal areas at Akole tehsil of Ahmednagar District with a special focus on Education and Health. With the support of “Adivasi Manav Sansadhan Vikas Prakalp” Warkhadwadi Devthan, the foundation initiated various initiatives like Primary Health Clinic and started Competitive Exams classes.
Broadcasters are always mapping our initiatives and publishing them in their newspapers, which helps us to strengthen the organization and we get motivated by Social Thanks.
